I haven't been able to log onto the internet for 3 days, but my email
and usenet works.
After spending 2 hours on the phone with a tech from my ISP, he's
convinced that I have to uninstall internet explorer and reload it.
How the hell do I do that?
if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'll give you one of
Norm's guitars.

If IE is causing you problems, have you recently installed Service
Pack III? I heard that it causes a LOT of problems. (You might have
inadvertantly installed it if you have your computer set for automatic
updates.) If so, try unintalling the entire service pack (from your
control panel). You cannot uninstall just your IE browser... because
it is part of Windows.
You might want to just try reinstalling your Windows (if you have the
original boot disk), to see if that fixes the problem. Or, if you can
get to a computer and download the Service Pack II onto a jump drive,
try installing that. I believe that any time you are installing
Windows updates (service packs, etc.) it automatically
installs/updates your browser. Of course, once you can use your
browser and get online, you can then go ahead and download Firefox.
I use Firefox for almost everything, but I have a "View in IE" option
for those websites which will not work in IE.
Best,
Arlene
I've been using IE7 with XP Service Pack 3 since it came out with no
problems. I tried Firefox, but there are still too many websites that
don't work well with it. One browser is enough. :-)
