Just can't get ASCII to work within this newsreader (Verizon)...

Your header says you're using Outlook Express as your reader, I suspect
there's some setting that's sending your post in pure text and ignoring
the extended ASCII characters.

I'm using Verizon as my server too. ©

Typically when I do it, I find it somewhere and cut and paste. ©
