could this have possibly been a request for further info?
Yeah, I started to ask about the tuners, but decided not to.
Clicked on the wrong button when I tried to cancel.

All the Gotoh 510s I've ever seen were sealed back. And the
only open back Gotohs I have seen would look pretty weird on
a SG.

This is obviously not a stock SG. Did the EMGs come on it
originally? And did you really mean it just has three knobs
instead of four?

Joe
I got it as a stock SG, and added the EMG pickups and switches and the tuners. I still have the original tuners with the white-plastic tulip knobs, but consider the Gotohs to be better both functionally and aesthetically. ymmv, of course!

Yes, it has vol/vol/tone for knobs.

Cool. I've read/heard of those but I don't guess I've ever
seen one. All the SGs I've ever seen had two tone controls.

What do all the little switches do? Different taps on the
pickups?

I've got a SG, but it's only got one switch. :-)

Joe
The pickups are "dual-mode", and actually have a humbucking and a single-coil type in the housing.

Two of the switches change each pickup between modes (think 'coil-tap'), the third is a li'l booster-preamp that is another EMG add-on.

The pickup toggle is the standard type.
Cool. I'll bet it screams.

Joe
yup!

Heh, We ought to set up an RMMGA electric weekend...

Pete

Oh, geez, not that! Apropos of nothing whatever, Robert "Guitar" Harding, classicist extraordinaire, showed up with a Les Paul at Stan's house on Saturday, knocking back classic rock lines.
