I was wondering if anyone else got this unsolicited DVD in the
mail?
It arrived in my mail box a couple of days ago and I watched
part of it last night. It is about Radical Islamists and is very
scary if you are inclined to take rhetoric like that at face
value.
They did seem to try to make the distinction between regular
Islamists and the Radical ones. They said that there are about a
Billion Muslims and about 10 to 15 percent are radical. It seems
to me that we faced much bigger and more organized numbers in
WWII.
Sure we should take them seriously but the only way they can
"destroy the West" is if we help them and do things like Bush
did by using 911 and WMD's as an excuse to attack Iraq.
If they do destroy us it will be the fear mongering and the over
reacting by us that will do the trick.

we also got it in the newspaper. no, i didn't watch it.- Hide-

After I posted my message I looked on the web to see what was being
said about it and I found the web page for the "movie". One of the
most obvious parts of the page was a big red "Donate" button. I
couldn't help but wonder if the donations were to help pay for
making the movie or would be going to some even more sinister
purpose.
David
I believe they're a non-profit and live off donations like any any
other.
So far, all I see here are posts that the DVD was "judged" before itt.
was watched. BTW, your reaction was exactly the one they warn
agains
Whether you agree or disagree with their viewpoint, an open mindhe
would at least listen before before tossing it in the trash.
Letters to t
editor ran 50-50 in today's paper.

I watched most of it. Did you? What did you think of it?
Anytime I get something like that in the mail, I am going to be
suspicious no matter who sends it.
David
Yes, I watched it. I would normally not have even noticed it because I
always toss all the newspaper ad inserts in the recycle bin before I
bring the paper in the house. However, I'd heard about it on the local
news and picked it out to see what all the noise was about.
I didn't hear/see anything new, but some of the interviews were
interessting; didn't change my viewpoint on the WOT.

Some of the stuff I had not seen or heard about before like the way
they were compairing they way Islamist extremists teach their kids to
hate Jews and Christians to the way the Nazi Youth were trained.
It was very well done and presented their arguments very well but it
still didn't change my mind that the terrorists can not take us down
without our help. We have to choose our battles carfully and not fight
too many wars at once.
