What was the prize ?
They gave me a Seagull guitar (some top of the line cutaway dread with
a I beam duet, quite good and well done BTW, but the personnality of a
plank wood, if you know what I mean, the perfect gigging guitar for
some...), and also a Marshall acoustic amp, and some accessories (I
appreciate the very nice Korg tuner like a micro laptop, very
sensitive, a bit on the ultra sophisticated side, but impressive), and
some cash to spend in a local music store, and an invitation to play
at the next Jazz Festival (there is a huge Jazz Festival here in
Montreal each year)
Not bad, hey ?
I don't know what to do with the guitar, will probably give it to
someone who has the talent to use a good guitar but not the money. The
best thing to do, me think.
I don't play much wood guitar these days, and when I play one, it's a
ladder bracing something with some cigar box sound anyway. And a huge
neck.
