Sunday morning, and feeling good, it is the first time I have got up with
the house feeling warm in weeks. - I don't like the cold. Added bonus, I'm
finally reaching a stage where playing the 8-string lap steel feels
natural - ie avoiding the second string (7th in otherwise open A tuning)
without thinking about it - and got a version of "Caldonia" I was more or
less satisfied with. Just had another beginners idea for it - put major
chord markers on the frets, since I never change the tuning.
Ah, life is good, even if I am nursing my wife and daughter, who both have
flu.

Oh yeah, you're down there. (grin) I'm not real fond of cold, but I've
come to appreciate it more than heat. I have plenty of socks and sweaters
when it's cold. I can only get so naked (and maintain some sense of
decorum) when it gets hot.
I hope your wife and daughter are feeling better soon.
