let y'all down easy.

Going to Fla. I haven't even contacted Arlene because I know I won't get a
chance to do anything non-family. Now to decide whether to try chancing my
Go-Guitar.

That's okay, Ed. Actually, Arlene is in California at the moment. So
I wouldn't be able to entertain you anyway. Spent a few days in L.A.
with my son and daughter-in-law (and the baby), spent a few days in
San Francisco with my sister and my sister-in-law and mother-in-law...
and spent yesterday in Las Vegas, where we saw Cirque du Soleil's
"Love". (We went only to see the show, which was great. Being the
big gambler that I am, I lost all of $2 in the casino.) Am now back
in L.A. (Yorba Linda) and helping daughter-in-law get ready for the
baby's first birthday party, which is tomorrow. Apparently a
Filippino/Hawaiian tradition that the first birthday is a BIG deal,
almost like a wedding or Bar Mitzvah. She is expecting 75 to 100
people for this party, many of them extended family, half of them
little children. Should be wild.

If you do manage to get this message, and if you are still in Florida
next weekend (where will you be?), I'll be heading home on Monday and
have a house concert scheduled for next Saturday (June 28). So if you
are up for it and feel like joining us, you are welcome.

I know what you mean about trying to catch up. I think when I get
home, I'll ask for a brief synopsis of what I've missed out there in
RMMGA land, and then delete the 10,000 posts that I've missed in the
past month, and start from scratch.

Hope you are all having a great summer.

Best,

Arlene
