I posted previously that I had bought a Leach Saratoga off another RMMGA member. I have gotten the guitar and the previous owner has said I can reveal the identity of the guitar.

I now have the Jim Page Leach with red sunburst spruce top and mixed species walnut back and sides. I have spent some time with this amazing piece of luthiery and am astounded at the tone and ease of play. It rings with overtones, undertones, and roundabout tones.

I am gonna have to have the neck tweaked and the action adjusted for my less than subtle and gentle picking style. I'd also like to be able to use a pick with it. I think Jim has a much lighter touch than I do. I hate to take it in to the tech I trust because the more time I spend with "Alice" (for some reason, this guitar wants me to call her Alice), the less I want to be separated from her. She'll be a grand cohort to my Kinscherff Concert (Django).

Right now I'm in hog heaven and really have to thank Jim for selling me this glorious tone angel. He musta been really medicated to let her go. But I try to take the best of care with her.

Thanks, Jim, yer one of the best (and I don't care what Dorgan says)

Congratulations, Tom. That should be a fitting addition to your collection. btw, when is Sue getting her new hammered dulcimer?

She didn't get me anything for our anniversary so I took care of that for her. I got her an antique Bakelite Swanson Tonette and personalized engraved hammered dulcimer hammers. I think that's a fair trade, don't you?

Well, sure, I do, but does she?
