I have installed several pickup combinations and various guitars but this
one has me stumped. I get no to minimal output on the high E string of a
twelve fret dread.
So far, I have:
1. thinned a saddle for a looser slip fit
2. installed a new saddle with a tighter fit
3. shimmed above and below the UST-this helped some but lost some
ascoustic tone and volume
4. had the saddle slot trued/ routed by a reputable guitar tech/ luthier
and a new saddle made
5. shimmed under the UST with the new saddle. This improved things but
the low E is a bit hot and the high E is still very weak.
6. took the sharp edge off the bottom and ends of the saddle with some
600 grit sandpaper
I have this same system in a few guitars with very good results so am
really stumped.
Suggestions greatly appreciated.

B Band A2.2 XOM UST/Ast combo in a Santa Cruz 12 fret dread.
Thx
Harmon
Ah, heres the problem, B-bands work just the opposite of all other ust's !
The more the pickup is allowed to vibrate the louder it gets, so if one
string is quite, shave the bottom of the saddle, if its to loud put some
tape in that area to create more pressure
on the pickup1
