If you want to talk about people using music for profiteering, then the
likes of me are not the culprits. Look into the behaviour of companies
like Live Nation and Sony/BMG.

Not the issue here, but it is the old Napster pharisee excuse of "Well
they're worse than me, I'm liberating the artists from them"

I was about to take a less restrained approach.

It *is* amazing what kinds of mental gymnastics some folks will
participate in to rationalize their behavior.

The Internet is not my living room, nor anyone else's, all claims of
"things have changed" aside. If one likes the song well enough to put it
up _in public_ then one should be willing to compensate the composer(s).
