I was trying to keep it simple, but we could link up by phone...
If anyone wants to organise that...
Can you do that Mike ?
If you can get me a phone number to call, and make sure that the adult in
charge (Brenda) knows when we should place the call, I'll buy a phone card
with international minutes, and we'll call you.
Probably not a bad idea to give me several numbers, including the land line
for Hargate if they have one.
Cheers,
Mike
Hargate Hall is +44 1298 872591. It often goes to answerphone, but
Anthony is the main man.
Pete
Following Noman's suggestion... let's make it 7.00pm Virginia time/12.00
midnight UK time Saturday...
I've discussed this with a couple of people now... Sorry Pete, but the
above business/private number of Anthony Knox's family home (Hargate Hall's
owners) - is NOT the one to use - especially calls from strangers in the USA
at midnight Sat.
I've provided 3 mobile numbers of attendees below...
Owner Anthony does say that most of the mobile networks - Vodaphone, Orange,
T-Mobile and O2 for instance DO work in the area. The coverage in the hilly
High Peak area for all the networks is much impoved in recent years and O2
now has a new transmitter in nearby Tideswell.
In Hargate Hall itself, mobiles generally work better outdoors or near a
window.
Nigel Tucker our jovial resident piss-artist and MC par-exellence has an O2
network line (0044) 07762 323 367
Nigel also reckons he might go one better and get something working via
Skype/Laptop etc and relay sound out etc Great if he can do it...
Charles Dean has a T-Mobile connection (0044) 07974 427 534
Alan Marshall has an Orange connection (0044) 07711 317 512
Any of those 3 mobiles could take the call at midnight.
I've also e-mailed all the folks involved.
