How do these things work? I just did a little looking into myspace
and I can't find how much space is available for an account. The only
size limit I saw was that any music file should not exceed 10mb. I'm
just wondering if myspace would be a good place to consider as a host
for a rmmga project (like the previous Shenandoah, Hard Times, etc.
projects). Would there be enough space to put up 15 (or ???) versions
of a tune. If not myspace, what would be a good one?

Form the soundclick FAQ

"We don't impose a limit on the number of songs you can upload. Upload
as many songs as you like!

The only restrictions (aside from that they must not violate any
copyrights of course) is the max file size for each song
- for standard accounts is 10MB
- for VIP accounts is 40MB

This restriction applies to each song individually. So you can upload
for example 20 songs with 10MB each, even if you have the free standard
account."

My work is done :-)

Sorry 'Across The Great Divide' is not public domain.
Here are a few choices that are.

How about 'Deadheads and Suckers' ? How does that go?

That's a good list in that book. There are several - loads in fact - which
would make a great MP3 participatory project - allowing interesting
instrumentals and lyrics for the singer/players too.

Why don't we drop the cynicism and go for it.

I just created a MySpace group called rmmga - you can get to it at
http://groups.myspace.com/rmmga Because I set up the group, it has me
listed as the "group leader", but I made it a completely open group,
so anybody can join and anybody can post whatever they want.

All those who want to join it should create their own personal MySpace
account (it's easy) and join the rmmga group. Then we will have a
place where we can share uploaded songs.
