'Bigotry',  about cats???   Where do I sign?

For Dar to be able to categorize me as 'stupid' from this particular set of
exchanges is a wonderful bit of evaluation,  and clearly demonstrates his or
her superior mentality.   Funny I've not run into him or her at a Mensa
meeting.

Which has what to do with my post?  Where I live,  dogs running off
leash are usually shot since they will likely be running deer and/or
livestock. Not a pleasant solution,  but a rational one.  Actually I'd
prefer a solution which penalized the owners for being dumber than
their beasts,  but that's frowned on in polite society.

We're also in one of the rare jurisdictions in which pit bulls must be
muzzled and neutered.   So far Rotweillers,  the other big favourite
with professional recipients,  are unregulated.

Try getting a cat control bylaw passed  almost anywhere on the planet.
The howls of anguish will be heard in the next county,  principally
from old ladies with a couple of dozen of 'em,  invariably free to
roam every yard in the neighbourhood.

Ever try to get the stink of someone elses' tomcat piss off your front
door or out of the lining of a guitar case you stupidly left open at a
party? Ever have your grandkids dig up cat crap on a regular basis in
the sand beach in front of your cottage?   How about finding your bird
feeder full of feathers and beaks?

'Cats should run free!'  Agreed.  Preferably just ahead of a .22
hollow point.

Irresponsible pet owners,  regardless of pet species,  should be
accountable for their actions.

I'm not suggesting for a moment that JD,  the orig. poster,  was
irresponsible for losing his cat.  Stuff happens.  Just pointing out
that cat folks can be a tad quirky at times.

Kevin,

Your initial post stereotyped cat lovers. Now you stereotype that "cat
folks can be a tad quirky". That is ignorant, stupid, polarizing, and
totally uncalled for. Apparently, my stereotyping you as a pit bull owner
was a little too obscure for you. I can now understand how you missed
that.

There are a lot of "quirky" folks out there. Here is a recent example.
Interstate 90, through the Washington Cascade Mountains, is closed
because of the severe snow storms. Truckers have been stranded for
several days. The news stations interviewed one of the truckers last
night. He and his wife travel together in cab of their 18-wheeler with
their four long-haired dachshunds. Now is that Quirky? I guess it is up
for you to make that universal decision for us.

Thanks for giving us a snap shot of your bigotry. It provides some
insight as to what kind of person you are.

LOL dude ... drag Mensa into it!.
I meant that what you said was stupid .
Neither one of us IS stupid . If you want
to compare though , I tested at 153 for Spatial, 133 for
verbal and 142 overall, but that was before years
of hard drinking and drug use. But I WAS invited to join
Mensa , no fooling . Have a nice day .
