The software I use is RIPVinyl - http://www.ripvinyl.com/ . It'll
split tracks for you as you go, and it's easy to adjust the level
below which the signal is deemed to be "silent", the length of silence
before separating it as a new track and how long a non-silent track
has to be before it is considered a proper track. It works on anything
coming through the soundcard, so useful for saving streaming music if
required as well.

Thanks Colin, I'll look into that.

I've just looked at the site, and it doesn't work on a Mac.

Shame.

What you need for a Mac -- and just about ALL you need for capturing sound on a Mac -- is Audio Hijack Pro. Check it out:

It can slice and dice any audio you can feed through a Mac. Well worth the money.

Thanks Al, I've just had a look, and bookmarked it.

I'll go back and buy it as soon as my temporary cash flow problems have resolved (about a week).

Raf could be interested too, if he hasn't alweady got it.
