Hi Mickey,

You probably know what you posted far better than I, but I
have looked, and I cannot find any comment you made that
indicated that you talked with the lawyer...

Can you point me to it?

Sincere thanks,

I hope this is not the start of another argument of semantics. Wasn't
it you who replied to my description of the encounter with the lawyer,
and then got into a disagreement about the definition of "assume" and
"speculation"?

(ok, so he did not show me any identification, so I don't really know
if he passed the bar exam or not, but he was introduced to me by Stan
as his lawyer or attorney, the exact label I do not recall)

Mickey, it's not worth it. No matter what you do or how much you try,
you will never satisfy these folks.

Steve Hawkins

And perhaps rightly so...

I do not understand where you are coming from here at all Steve. You appear
to have made your decision based on the prosecution's evidence alone and
without hearing that of the defence... prosecution evidence provided - it
has to be said - by a person whose real identitiy must apparently be kept
secret.

The only 'satisfaction' applying here would have been a competent repair of
the damage. That is, other than the dubious satisfaction of publically
dissing MB for their alleged shoddy workmanship - anonymously. He can't
have both. The OP would appear to have lost any chance of having the damage
repaired at MB's cost.

Were MB admitting accidental damage had been done and were offering to
repair provided the OP signed a document to keep the matter legally private
? If so, then the OP could have argued that the document should be signed
on collection by the OP of the repaired guitar to the OP's satisfaction.

Perhaps Howard E could ask his mate Stan to explain his side of this
shenanigans ? I don't like the smell of this at all - either way.
