I'm going to a guitar festival in Italy next spring....I've been
asked to do a 3-day workshop in Sarzana. The workshop requires I bring
some tools for demonstrations. Do you suppose I'll have any difficulty
bringing my chisels, dovetail saw, draw-knives and hand planes on
board?

I'd be very surprised - unless you try to take them in the cabin.
