There are several "Eon" speakers
I did not read every manual
only the one of the most common g15v2
there is NO amplifier power on ay of the inputs or output
no damage will be done due to sending from the xlr out
it has two modes
one is the out feeds only what is attached to input 1
the other mode it feeds a mixed signal from all three output
your special cables simply facilitated the hook up
