And George, you are so appreciated for this reason...not the least at
all, but this has been a big help to many of us. Me, particularly.

We had an SM57 at the open mic in TX8 and as soon as I approached it,
I thought of you. Really.

A while back, I had been recording with one and you posted about
staying properly positioned to that mic. That had been my problem
during recording.

During the open mic, I was singing with my eyes closed. I was
concentrating on listening for the Am (that sounds funny on a tenor
guitar) and my staying on the same key as the nice lady harmonizing
with me...or maybe I was harmonizing with her...I forget...did then,
too, ... anyway, I opened my eyes once and the mic was well to my
right and I was leaning away from it.

I guess for good positioning with that mic, keep it against the lips
and share your diseases with fellow artists, or keep the eyes open.

I got the B-5 on your suggestion and like it.

in regards to music , I play and perform in a duo called "Barleywine" we
play at our whim, where ever we choose
we shun paid performance

I play Mandolin and guitar
influences are Grateful Dead, David Grisman, Tony Rice but most of all
Norman Blake

I detest music played though sound systems

That gave me a good laugh. Thanks, George.
