I'll be playing some solo acoustic slack key guitar instrumentals for
a couple of hours this coming Sunday at the Caffe Teatro in Orinda,
CA. This is a lovely outdoor plaza located at the Orinda library, 24
Orinda Way. There are tables with umbrellas, coffee and snacks
available at the "caffe" and the whole thing is a freebie. Naturally,
I'll have a few copies of my "Kaleponi" CD in case you need some more.

I shot some video at the last Orinda show and posted clips on YouTube:

weekend. If this amazing late spring weather holds it will be a
gorgeous day, so instead of wasting it on the golf course or the
beach, come on out and soak up some slack key <grin>.

Nice videos... most enjoyable tunes. If I weren't halfway down the state,
I'd certainly come around to see you play. Perhaps one of these days, I can
tie that in with some other compelling reason to travel up that way.

Following that last slack key thread (OP was someone looking for a book
recommendation), I've pursued that sound quite a bit more, mostly watching
fingers on You-Tube, but I did pick up a book as well. Anyway, your videos
are providing yet another nice boost. I've been in about a 25 year rut with
open-G (although part of that time, I really didn't play very often), and
chasing the Hawaiian sound is (slowly but) radically changing the way I
approach that tuning.
