Actually the most amazing thing is that the NYT figured out there were
cities in places other than New York ...

csj

Well the NYTimes may not cover as many missing white girls in "the
heartland" as some people would like, but I see alot of news everyday
on their front-page that has nothing to do with NYC. What is really
happening throughout the world. Journalism. Maybe you were just doing
one of those roll your eyes at the left-wing-liberal-media things.

Not the Susan I know, Larry. Susan grew up in New York but left and
developed a more world-wide perspective. She was just giving an
askounced
sideways comment on New Yorkers myopic view of culture. For some,
there's
New York City and the Second and Third World cultures.- Hide quoted

Look bub, if you're gonna' start using words like "askounced" and
"myopic" then... well I don't know what, but quit it.
I was originally coming from "Hell, I 'know' a buncha' guys that have
been doing this for years!" and I was surprised at the reference to
the NY Times, in these days of "It all depends on where you hear it."
Hell, it was just a story about old guys in bands.

LB

Sorry, Larry! I usually don't use them high falootin' words but Raf and Al
said if I come into the big city more than once a year, I gotta speak
civilized (they said that's like I's in church or talkin' to friends of my
Mom's). So Sue got me a big book of words and I'm goin' through it slowly.

So you're just kind of a talkinghead with a couple of shadowy figures
behind you who "suggest" what you should "opiniate upon." And then
there is a Condoleeeeza type person telling you what subjects you
should be studying on and "deciding" about.
It's all very dejavu-ish to me.
You're not getting ready to run for President are ya' Tom?
Lord knows the best ones come from Texas. I'm sure you'd do as good as
your predecessors.
