My post was a momentary lapse of judgement due to outrage, Steve.
I mis-typed the header, then it posted with some kind of error and I
said "Serves me right anyway", then it appeared. Better if it hadn't,
but I just read that article, thought "THIS are who our kids are over
there trying to "protect"?! and vented.
I'm sure it will be duly ignored.

Oh, I'm sorry. No criticism intended. I was just following my
nose and stumbled upon a religion that worships a pretty bird. I
was thinkin' that if I needed a religion, one with birds could be
pretty cool.
And then there was that whole Cosmic Egg thing. Sort of took my
fancy.

Boy I guess I *was* worked up. "...THIS are who.. yadayada?"
For some reason that particular article whacked me upside the head.
The barbarity with which they treat the women, the fact that there are
hundreds of thousands of people still on earth that will worship a
bird enough to die or kill over it, the stark realization that there
are human beings on earth who have it in them to stone and kick
another human to death, because she loved a guy who didn't believe in
the bird. Kind of mind boggling. And to think that our troops are over
there riding around in the middle of all this crap, hoping to not hit
a booby trap, until all these crazy bastards suddenly reach some kind
of agreement on how to run Mesopotamia together and quit bombing each
other and us. That is the current definition of "victory" isn't it?
Oh yeah, and let's get that oil distributed.
Whew. Thank you, I feel better.
