Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
!!!!!!!

You need it.

Nooooo! I need THEM! I need THEM because I played IT yesterday.

Jeff

What did you play, Jeff? Please tell all!

Jenn

Oh it's not all that shocking in the grand scheme of things, not really, not
yesterday, but a couple of weeks ago... that one wants a new thread.
Yesterday changed the compromises I was willing to make, though. The price
of GAS went up in double digit percentages.

Yesterday's most interesting finds were an old ('60s model?) nylon string
Martin. That was fun, sweet sounding, kind of tempting, and reasonably
priced. I love a guitar with a real fat neck. The other was a OMC16E(A).
It's a return to the store (Lightning Joe's, of course) in spruce and
rosewood at a used price that has almost everything I'd been selling myself
for the last three months... a fine sound, too. BTW, I'll be interested in
your take on the way your new Aura compares to Taylor's Expression thingy.
I'm pondering a 314ce as part of a package/compromise deal that I can't
afford, but will probably do anyway. The last, the *biggy*, was a Taylor
555. Adjectives to describe this thing... like holding, in your lap, a
harpsichord on steroids! Yow!!! This one explains why they call them
cannons.

I'd been working myself up to a $1.5k to $2k nice OM or similar six string
with some other specs that I've been compiling (the needs, wants, would
likes, etc.). At the same time I've periodically suggested to myself that a
practical purchase would be a quality 12 string. But, I haven't played very
much 12 in recent years; so it's been pretty easy to dismiss that... until
yesterday.

Aren't you on your way to New York to do scholarly stuff?
