This is a personal, unsolicited review from a fan of Dropped-D tuning.

Lemme add my two cents' worth: I posted this in the classical group,
but under a different thread:

El's book is worth the price for the arrangement of "Ashogan Farewell,"
(by Jay Unger, originally for violin) all by itself.

Remember Ken Burns's series, The Civil War? Must have been ten or
fifteen versions of it played there, and this one is as good as any.

Some fine Dropped-D pieces in the book. I look forward to working on
'em. Though El's version of "The Water is Wide," in Dropped-D isn't in
the book, I think you can still download that one from his site, and
it's a another excellent arrangment.

In case nobody recognizes me, I'm the gun-totting, so-so guitarist who
lives in beautiful Beaverton -- not the former lead singer for Journey.
