Sorry Stephen, but if you have a "set of beliefs", it's just
another form of dogma.

I have no dogma. My karma ran over it.

Who listens to everything and has faith in nothing.

You have faith in something. No doubt about it.

Yes.

I'm going to die one day.

MJRB

That's it? If that's all I had I couldn't get up in the morning. Why
bother?

I sometimes wonder myself.

Sorry folks, that was a stupid post, one of those "why did I hit send"
things.

Life is worth getting up for because you are alive, who needs more
than that.

If you open your eyes and everything still works, it's a good day.

If it all comes to a complete halt at death there's still no point. You
can attempt to make it meaningful but it's essentially without meaning
if it ends.

You're telling me that a lifetime of caring for ones loved ones and
doing the best thst one can to improve the lot of those around you is
pointless.

Not to mention playing some great guitars (back on topic).

Not my view of life.

I don't think that there needs to be anything other than living to the
best of ones ability.

MJRB

Mike, I'm not sure why you're bothering now with this argument with this
guy. You're basically pissing into the wind.

Not to me he's not. I don't expect or want to convince anyone of anything. I'm fascinated by how people of all creeds come to terms with the problem of evil.

If Mike's purpose is to live to the best of his ability (whatever that means to him) and he's happy with that, there is no problem as far as I'm concerned.

Why are you trying to tell Mike his posts are futile? Is that for him or for you?
