And now here's the final shipping charge.....$31 !
The FEDEX guy measured the package and came up with 1" less in every
dimension. I think he was just being nice because of all the other
stuff I've shipped with them. It bumped me under the "extra" window.
I measured carefully and my dimensions were correct, but who am I to
argue with the guy?

Are you sure it wasn't a woman doing the measuring? They measure every
thing smaller than men do.
