Thoughts on arthritis-related to playing guitar

from: Chopper,

Let me start by saying I'm not a doctor, and cannot diagnose
or recommend treatments. These can only be done by a licensed physician.
Always consult with your doctor before changing your routine.
I'm just a guitar player that has read a lot of the latest research
on medical conditions.

I've been reading the posts on arthritis and related symptoms,
pain, stiffness, etc, and the replies concerning treatments, and remedies
with a mixture of sadness and amusement.

Most posts seem to be mixed advice concerning treatments, with the nasty
side effects,
surgeries, home remedies, and so on, along with resignation
that this is a result of aging, heredity, and previous injuries.

My sadness is from the suffering and pain, and my amusement
comes from the lack of response addressing the causes of these issues.
Not a lot is known about the actual causes of arthritis, tendonitis and
related symptoms, however there is a lot of information about these
conditions.

I am 50 years old, have been playing guitar, bass, piano, for around 24
years.
When I was in my twenties, I broke two knuckles in my fretting hand, blew
out my
left knee and vertebrae in my back and neck when I flipped my dirt bike,
have
had carpal tunnel symptoms in my wrists, shoulder pains that seem to be
rotator cuff
problems and other aches and pains over the years that I assumed to be the
results of
aging, and these previous injuries.

I am now pain free, which I attribute to few basic, very simple and low cost
things I have done.
I occasionally develop stiff joints, and pain in my injured joints, if I
slip up and don't do these
very simple things. When the pain returns, I have only to do a few simple
things, not involving
medicines or wacky off the wall cures, no Mexican clinics or Oriental
techniques,
and the pain and stiffness disappear. I am willing to share these ideas, and
the
only thing I ask for is a few replies to this posting to this newsgroup. I
am not
selling anything, and the only profit I wish to gain
is to help anyone who is willing to listen.

All I ask is a few replies with information concerning age, height and
weight,
any other medical conditions, frequency of medicine usage- including over
the counter
and prescription medicines - per day and week. Family history of medical
problems, including
other problems; heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and other conditions. I
don't want
any other personal information, so do not post it.

The information is for my own curiosity, and will not be used for any other
purpose.
I will not Spam you, and will e-mail you only if you request. Again, I am
not selling
anything, and make no promises or guarantees.

The only thing I will tell you is information I have gleaned from publicly
available
sources, wisdom that has been known for thousands of years, and recently
confirmed
by the most rigorous scientific studies, many of which you paid for with
your generous tax dollars.
I can only tell you the simple things that work for me, if you are willing
to listen.

Be forewarned, simple does not imply easy, and do not ask a question if you
do not wish to hear
the answer. Many of you, if not the majority who think you want the answers,
will not want to hear the answers
once you hear them. Many will react negatively, say its impossible, will be
unwilling and claim that you
are unable to do these simple things. I know this because I have heard it
all before from friends and family,
suffering from physical disease, but unwilling to make these changes. They
place there faith in medicine and
surgery, which only treat symptoms and do not address the root causes of
their suffering, while their health
continues to decline, while suffering from the "side-effects" of their
treatments..

If this all sounds mysterious, I apologize. What I speak about is not
mysterious, just common sense,
everyday things. Unfortunately, common sense is that not that common.
The mystery comes from my hesitation to post this, not wanting to incite
flame wars.
If flames erupt I will only respond with references,
and will share references with any one who wants to read the latest research
which I would encourage anyone to do.
Then you can draw your own conclusions. I can assure you the things I
propose are purely
physical, not metaphysical or religious. However, I do not believe they
violate any religious beliefs,
but your mileage may vary. I assure you anyone is capable of these things,
and the sooner the better.
I apologize for being long-winded, but hidden beneath the simplicity of what
I do is extreme complexity.
Fortunately, all you need to know is very simple to understand, and if
anyone one wants to dive
into the rabbit hole, I can show them the way. A paradox, simplicity, but
complex at the same time.

Here is a brief quote from a highly trained doctor who has written ten
books, many of them selling over
a half million copies each. His health knowledge is phenomenal, and has one
of the largest
collections of scientific literature on disease in the country. He maintains
a high level of familiarity
with all of it:

'Patients will come in with rheumatoid arthritis. They'll be in wheelchairs,
they can't even turn the key on their car. And I'll take care of them and
three or four
weeks later, they'll go back to see their doctor. They'll walk up to their
doctor,
grab their hand and shake it hard. Doctor will say "Wonderful." The patient,
all
excited, will say, "Well, I want to tell you what I did. I went to see this
Dr. (name deleted),
I did this, and now my arthritis is gone." Their doctor responds, "Oh my
goodness.
That's great. Whatever you're doing, just keep doing it. I'll see you
later."
That's always the response. It's not, "Please, my god, tell me what you did
so I can tell the next patient." It's "Whatever you're doing, that's just
great."
If the patient starts to tell them they changed (deleted), the doctor will
cut
in with, "Yeah okay, fine, you're really a strong person. Thanks a lot. See
you later."
Get them out of the office as quickly as they can. It's very threatening...
very threatening.'

I will reveal the doctors name and what these severely crippled patients
changed in their
lives, if anyone really wants to know. I can tell you what this doctor did
for them is merely
something you have probably heard hundreds if not thousands of times before.
You did not listen
then and probably won't now. You don't need to go to this doctor for the
same success,
merely copy what these people did. Think about it for a moment, these people
had severe arthritis,
what might it do for someone with sore fingers, or knees, or backs.

Being a bit redundant, I am not selling anything, Spamming anyone, phishing
or
sending file attachments or anything like that. If anyone is interested, I
will post
to this group. I have handed you the key, but you must unlock the door by
replying here, if you dare.
