Re: Martin Eric Clapton

Any opinions on the Martin Eric Clapton.

A friend just got one. He got a special deal through a pal, so he paid
less than most folks would if buying new. It's a decent little guitar,
but it doesn't hold a candle to the 1957 000 we have.

The set up is comparatively mediocre (won't matter for this guy's style)
and attention to internal detail is not what I'd expect. There are four
points near the tail block where the lining has gaps and only the
binding is covering the side-to-back joint. I noticed this when I held
it up to look down the neck, and had the *** pointed at a window. "Hey,
look, sunshine..."

But it does sound good and the action is fixable.

I can't honestly say I find it any better than a Blueridge equivalent I
played recently.
