Re: Musea E-mail Club #339 RMMGA poster Declares War on Willie Nelson

Tom, this is just about the level of success and prominence Wille
Nelson has attained - because he IS so well-known, he can easily become
a target for shakedowns from people who project all sorts of
nonexistent relationships on him, then turn vengeful if they're
ignored.

Okay, you called first. But there's no assurance that the woman who
answered the phone was the person who received the package, or
remembered your call if she was.

You tried to send the man a nice tribute and got a form letter in
return. That's all it is. it's not a slap in the face, and it
certainly isn't personal: not on their parts, anyway.

Obviously it's disappointing for you, but it reflects on what someone
of Willie Nelson's stature has to deal with. Even though you clearly
meant the best by it, you just as clearly aren't the only person who
sends songs to the man.

Short version: you got a form letter, it isn't personal, so please
don't take it that way.
