14 frets to the body, EI Rosewood/Sitka, 12th fret scroll inlay, abalone
purf, abalone rosette, abalone center strip down back.
This guy's a friend, he works at a major NW tonewood supplier and he
selected the top set himself...
This is a very nice, beautiful instrument, hardly played. (Owner has a fair
collection of "in appreciation" guitars.... Through biz, he's friends with
several pretty big names in Lutherie...) He feels guilty cuz he's not
playing this particular guitar enough and it warrants more play time, so
he's trying to get it into hands of a player that will use and appreciate
it... "plus", he says, "family could use the $".
FWIW a couple of years ago I played this same guitar, and of his entire
collection this was my favorite. In fact, it was my favorite guitar of all
at a local non-rmmga "gathering", out of about 40 or 50 guitars total.
He would like to get in the 6k range, said he would entertain all reasonable
offers.... (paraphrased)
I believe he'll be trying ebay soon too.
Email me for specifics, contact info, and I have a few pics...
(oh yeah I'm just forwarding the info, no "markup" on my behalf. JIC you
were wondering) 8-)
