Jeff,
CDs are mastered using the .CDA file type. Your CD player probably
will not read anything but the CDA files.
As for the CD-IV Project, the WAV file is the preferred format.

Since this came up already , I had to go check to see if my burning
programs had
kept my music as .wav files . I had been using Cakewalk Pyro but ran into
the
playability problem on my inside cd player, but my car cd player seemed to
play almost anything I recorded.
Someone gave me a copy of a very nice burning program, Nero . Nero had
sorta changed my files into
neroplay or something but the files I burned with it still carried a dos
name with the original name and .wav extension. I just looked again and saw
that Nero has converted all my recorded .wav files over . I wonder
what it will do next....
