Re: RMMGA CD and Why can my computer play my recording but by CD player can't?

Jeff, typically CD players do not play wav files. Some do (just as some
play MP3 files), but most don't. They play CD audio, filename.cda unless
I'm mistaken. wav files are windows specific file types. Try here...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_file_format

(also look for the "file types" link near the bottom of the page.) If your
cd player says it plays wav files, it may be that the cd isn't finalized.
Someone better at explaining it will probably chime in. The burner progs I
use, ezcdcreator, or nero do it all for me. They ask, do you want an audio
cd, and I say yes.

That said, I think when I sent something in for CD1, it was both wav and cd
audio. Jim will probably answer but my money would be on wav being the
preferred form.

Hi all. I just did my very first mix down using my home recording
gear. I saved the project as a wave file. I can play it using the
windows media player. When I popped the the CD into my home CD player
nothing happened. Can you confirm this is due to the fact that my CD
player doesn't read wave files? Assuming this is the case, what should
I have saved in if I wanted the CD player to read it. Also, does
anyone know whether I can or should send wave files for inclusion on
the RMMGA CD? Thanks. Jeff
