Any digital recording enthusiasts out there?
Well, I was all excited to start recording after I purchased my Firebox
and then I realized I didn't have a firewire port on my computer.
So, I ran back out and bought a firewire pci card and installed it...
and absolutely nothing is happening.
Seems like when I'm trying to install the Firebox drivers it's not
recognizing that I've connected the Firebox to my computer via the new
firewire card that I just installed.
I'm ready to pull my hair out.
I have no idea which way to go next...
any advice...for a non-geeky uncomputerist, but ready to explode
creative artist who needs to get all of these songs out of her head.
it's a TechGear firewire card with a TI chip...which is supposed to be
compatible with the Firebox.
My first thought is that the card is not seated properly. I have had this problem with different accessory cards I've installed. My first reccomendation is to shut the computer off, remove the card and reinstall it. When you turn the computer on, it should notify you that new hardware has been found and lead through the rest of the process.
