I don't understand the gripe or any potential solution. Are you guys
saying that there is a viable alternative to a (fairly) free market
economy in regard to the two items you're complaining about - the
guitar strings and the repalcement electrical part?

Yeah, there's the command economy, like they had in the USSR. They
can churn out guitar strings in vast quantities and very cheaply.

Of course, there will only be one guage - .012's - and they won't
actually be delivered to the stores, they'll be stacked up in some
warehouse never to be made available to guitarists, unless you know
who to bribe.

By the way, just because you couldn't find a cheap replacement for a
grounded plug, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You were obviously at
the wrong store. My local hardware store had at least 3 choices when I
was looking for one recently.

Yeah - I'm pretty skeptical that Home Depot didn't have several
choices, too. It's a pretty common thing.

Are you saying you are skeptical about Al Evans stating that Home Depot didn't have several choices?

Personally, I think I have more faith in Al than I do in GC or Home Depot. I know he has more integrity.
