<<Sounds interesting. What's the citation please? >>
I'd have given it yesterday, but I had misplaced my Catgut author
index.
"A Measureable Effect of Long-Term Playing on Violin Family
Instruments"
JCAS 3.5: 38-40 May '98
<<Should be easy to prove - has anyone published response peaks,
frequency
sweeps or anything like this on guitars as they are breaking in? >>
Not that I know of. I need to get some of this stuff out there. One
problem: the Catgut Society was folded into the Violin Society of
America a couple of years ago, and they aren't interested in guitar
stuff. Some things get published by the ASA and EAA, but you'd have to
wade through a heck of a lot of other stuff to find the nuggets.
<<It's part of our wiring as human beings to see patterns where none
exist. >>
Certainly true, but that does not mean there are no patterns!
