This week a sixth grade student I have confidently entered the room
with a brand new acoustic electric guitar, sat down and played Brooks
Williams' "Belfast Blues" like nobody's business - she is getting ready
to play in a school wide contest. What a moment! I am so proud of
her! If any of you know the song, picture this petite, quiet young
lady shyly approaching the stage with a big black dreadnought as big as
she is - and suddenly she's rockin the house - it is going to be very
cool!

Then, I got a call from a former student who had left this area some
time ago - he has returned home and has been studying music and
recording, and is dedicating his life to music and said that it never
would have happened without me! Wow - I love it! (No doubt his
parents want to kill me!) In addition, he is taking up teaching, had
heard I was moving, and was wondering if I would recommend my students
to him. This is a cool, weird feeling - I hate losing my students, but
I can recommend him heartily and know they will be in good hands. We
are going to get together soon to catch up and so I can show him my
teaching materials

All in all a great week. In addition, I saw Vance Gilbert - what an
amazing performer!

Donna,

This is such a wonderful story! It's moments like these that make it all
worth while and motivate a person even more!

Where are you moving to? Staying local in the Central to Western part of
the state? Closer to the city/state where I live? If so, I've got some
plans for get togathers in the early part of the summer!

Chuck
