Doesn't matter. I was on active duty when Hanoi Jane was aiding and
comforting people who wanted to kill me. If I ever own a restaurant,
won't be eating there.
Sometime during the last couple years, footage of Fonda with the
anti-aircraft gun was widely broadcast. I think she was promoting
some sort of book that had her name on it. It was pretty disturbing
to watch -- she was like a four-year-old at Disney World. I believe
in a statute of limitations on being responsible for doing stupid
things -- I'm glad nobody reminds me on a daily basis of the dumb
things I did and said 35 years ago -- but that whole thing was pretty
startling.

Regardless of the stupid things Jane did, the Vietnam war was a travesty.
The same for our current war.

Indeed. I can never understand how protesting a war is considered
"aiding and abetting the enemy". I do agree she was naive and stupid,
but not a traitor.
