Nice; I went for the Estralita Walnut Deluxe just on the looks, but that's a
matter of personal choice. I'm not wild about the "orange peel" finish they
use, which seems softer than nitrocellulose or polyurethane, and would be
very difficult to repair without polishing the whole surface back. Also,
some might find the traditional neck design a bit clubby by modern
standards. I agree that they sound fabulous, and workmanship seems
excellent. I word of warning, if you haven't already discovered, the truss
rod adjustment works in reverse to most guitars, and I almost damaged the
neck on mine trying to straighten it, and winding the wrong way.
Maybe I've been unlucky with piezos, but I haven't yet found one I like for
a reso. I managed to make a very thin mag pickup for mine and I also have a
piezo installed and can combine the two. Maybe I should try the K and K. How
is it installed?
