HI All,
Last week end my playing partner Eric and i played for 4+ hrs together but something was different. Although much younger than me Eric is a fine player and and has 25+ guitars to choose from. He was also able to buy my old fender Bassman amp after I traded it in for a ultrasound Pro 100.
He collects fender amps in a small way and was a little upset when I traded it. The dealer who took it had the head recapped and new filters
put in. Although there is some breakup in the sound it appears that It
now sounds better than ever. It was a 64 and does not have Twin 12' speakers but is a gem none the less. The neat thing is that Eric bought and its like its still in the family.
The thing was that happened last Saturday was that fro the first time we made music rather than just play together. I discovered there is a difference between ti 2. The reason was my rhythm was always a bit off and it was hard for him to working the leads and counter rhythm's.
the reason? we had a drum machine and that kept me on track and making real music for the first time was a great thing for me. we Also added a third member Jason a young kid. We all play guitar so its a kind of CSN kind of group. We are looking for a bass player. Things are shaping up. Well gotta run....I love you folks in this group and my day would not be complete without checking out the newsgroup.
Larry .
