I'm sorry Steve, but I see your ealier comments about me as pretty
harsh criticism for simply voicing my opinion.

By way of discussion, I thought we *were* building a list of
issues...and instead, I get to have this rather unpleasant interaction,
attempting to defend myself from misinterpretation.

I'm sorry that I misremembered that Harold Hedberg took care of dealing
with the mechanical royalty payments last time around. I have already
acknowledged this in an earlier post. The fact that royalties have to
be paid is a considerable issue, and I was mentioning it so that
newcomers to the group would see that we follow the law.

Again, I was presenting for discussion something I thought (mistakenly)
was fact. Sorry that this annoyed you. I was wrong.

When I said 6 CDs was "a bit over the top," I did not use the word
tedious, my friend. I was referring to the work involved in mastering
such aa project, and again, it was just my opinion.

Until we know for sure, this is *all* moot.

Great, but to use your phrase, "To discuss metrics without data only
creates noise."

So far we are missing the only data point that matters.

Who has actually volunteered for the mastering? No one? O.K., then I
guess it's all noise.
