Well, at my age I didn't even notice the difference.
I had a young teen girl explaining to me, an old, old man (really
old in her view) about how upset she got when she was around her
boyfriend. Then she said, "You know, Mr. Cashion, there are times that
I get so...so...horny." (Pregnant pause.) "You know what that means,
don't you?"
I told her that I remember the word but only faintly and the
sensation not at all.
It took a second for it to register on her that I was putting her
on and then she was embarrassed.
Sadly, this bright-eyed, red-headed little girl is now a dumpy,
46-year-old grandmother. I see her sometimes at the post office. When
she winks at me, I know she remembers that conversation...and she looks
a lot nicer all of a sudden.
Perception...the world functions by perceptions. <g>
Ken, who is older than many rocks.
