I recall reading and interview with the guy who started
Eminence speakers in a "live sound" magazine. The owner
said he took out a loan to start the company when he
got a P.O from Ampeg to build 18" speakers, like 5 a
week. Perhaps these original 18's are eminence.
Just a guess.
