Dr. Kapur is too kind. But Shri Kalra could have added
the words :
"........, using a hammer in the process." !


What is it about Shri Jayaraman's post that three
buzurgs (Dr Kapur, Kalra-ji, Afzal Sahab) have
ganged up against him in such poor taste? His post,
like so many others by him, can be safely ignored.

There are two objectionable things here. First, if
Jay provokes you he has succeeded in his aim.
Secondly, if similar strong language is used against
somebody else, the three buzurgs will be quick to
take offence at it. I am particularly surprised and
disappointed by Khan Sahab acting out of character
and joining in the 'jalaa do' Holi spirit.


I look forward to Jayaraman's posts. He focuses on
hosts of songs and artists not normally discussed on
rmim, which is a big contribution. But are people ever
going to learn that any attempt to engage him in dialogue
is likely to be futile? I have no problem if his mendacity
is exposed with marvellous persistence, memory and
knowledge - I allude to Nagin's 78 rpm disc and Jay's
response to Kalra-ji's request about it and its aftermath
with K waiting patiently for the ambush. But such instances
do not faze Jayaraman. And more nebulous issues find
him totally at home, leading people a merry dance.
