I am amused by their comment:
We at Yash Raj Films aim to give to our valued customers, films of the
by-gone era in the best possible quality which can be treasured
forever. But however sometimes the movie itself has to take precedence
over the quality and our aim at such times is to ensure that the movie
comes out to the best possible standards in the given circumstances.
I had bought a DVD of Choti si Baat. The quality was pathetic. They had
used a faded and scratched print and simply transferred it to DVD. The
sound quality was also bad. A few months later Zee TV showed this movie
where the quality was far better. It would have been better to have
directly recorded this from TV and then copied it to a DVD.
How are T series DVD's? Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi has been released by them.
I have so far not bought it after my experience with Yashraj Films.
Havn't seen many DVDs from T-series but given
quality of their CDs, I am not hopeful.
DVDs of old movies released by Baba Digital
are usually of very good quality.
