I think a clarification might be apposite here. Kaka's response is in
the light of the following article in Dainik Bhaskar:

A rough translation of the relevant passage is: "Mukul Shivputra, who
lives life on his own terms, is today dependent on scant pennies.
However several websites sell his recordings at 8 to 15 dollars a
performance. The websites even claim that the payments received are
made over in their entirety to the artiste.
This is clearly a reference to Bodaskaka's (and Abhishek Singh's)
initiative to market Mukul's music through the net. It is a matter of
record that at the time this was done, Mukul freely expressed his
appreciation for the pains taken on his behalf. He even offered to
record a track to be distributed freely among those who bought the
recordings. Why Mukul has changed his stance is a matter of
conjecture. Given Kaka's unblemished integrity in matters monetary and
otherwise, there is every reason to believe he has very little genuine
cause to have done so.

Yes also Mausam was of great help. I got support from many of our
posters. Some met me here in Pune and I am now very close to them.
To be frank almost 90% of the sale was from this group.
