Nope, not had that problem. Does it do it with ALL new vinyl or only some?
Is the arm balanced correctly? The anti-skate set right?
Still shouldn't only effect new vinyl though.
Her turntable is defective in some way. She should just take it back
and use the money to get a decent one.
I have some new carts and other turntable toys coming this week and can't wait.
Definitely a defect going on over here. I can't be bothered taking it
back, it was so cheap. I don't actively waste money like that BUT I
think I'll just keep it around as a spare, or offload it onto a
friend. Or my son can use it someday.
It doesn't skip on ALL new records, but it is ONLY new records it's
skipping on. I've considered the possibility that they're warped (on
one record, warping was visibly evident - I sent it back). However
the remainder are, to the eye, perfect. I can't be THAT unlucky to
get a whole bunch of warped stuff. Plus all were bought from
reputable spots, and all on different occasions.
