Because we don't have the money and influence to get out of the
situation. Why is having money and influence wrong?
Because 'justice' should be delivered equally to all,

Well then why is _Paris_ the one causing "outrage"? Get mad at the
Cali system. You might say she isn't, but yet then why aren't people
up in arms every day over the 100s of injustices done everyday? It is
jealousy and resentment towards people with money.

there shouldn't be a situation where two different people commit the same crime yet get
different sentences based on the amount of money they or their families have.

That's not Paris's problem. "Outrage" should be directed to the right
people.

And no one is condemning her for having her fathers millions, there may
be dissenting comments regarding what she's actually done worthy of fame
but other than that you're way off point.

There's a difference between buying the best dishwasher ever and buying
your way out of jail... The former is a material method of making your
life easier, the latter is a breach of the trust the general population
have in the laws which we're all supposed to abide by.

It happens ALL the time on different levels. Some of it bad and
harmful admittedly, but much of it
ultimately inconsequential.

My view, is I want to take care of my life, and then loved ones, then
general humanity in that order.

right, well, you can't create a consistent and just set of laws from that point of view, so while we should take it into consideration, i don't think that should be the final standard for judging one's actions.

Stressing about the human unworthiness of people with money/
celebrities is an unworthy state of mind.

Seriously, why be angry at Paris Hilton in this situation?

If you messed up and you were facing jail time you wouldn't try to get
out of it?
Of course anybody would, the system shouldn't allow the guilty to get
special treatment just because their father owns some hotels though.

The hostility is towards the system

But is it *really*?

maybe it is, maybe it isn't. i'm sure people conflate their anger at paris with their anger at the justice system, but that doesn't mean their anger at the justice system is an insignificant part of it, even if that's not always articulated so well.
