It wasn't just that game they were booing him for... He's been pretty
useless since the day you signed him. Personally I think it was justified...

The League is the most important thing though and you've won the
'Premiership' as many times as we have.

Well... We'll see.

I disagree at the moment though because I've not been impressed so far and
I'm glad we didn't sign him.

The fans were justified against Gerrard, it was worse than Rooney's sale
(which was corrupt as ***), it was another local lad who declared his
undying love for the club then saying "Ah *** it, who wants to give me some
money? It's *** here..."

24 hours pass which included a few phones calls to him...

"Oh wait... You want to give this and that... Oh fine... I LOVE THIS CLUB
IT'S THE BEST!"

Baros was another mercenary, good riddence... Cisse should be kept though.

He did well when he was there but I wouldn't have Anelka for love nor
money... No commitment at all, he'll bang them in for a few months then come
up with some bull*** about the club and want to *** off and never play the
same again.

If Evertonians were RS it would be "We've only been out of the top flight of
the English football league for 4 seasons in it's entire existance, no one
else has been in the top flight more than us or got more league points,
therefore it's our title no matter who wins it... What do you mean we're
near the relegation zone? That's just called rebuilding, don't you know
anything about football?"

As it is though, from Toffeeweb's guide to Everton FC...

'One-time "Mersey Millionnaires" at the leading edge of the English game,
Everton is now a club living off an illustrious history and struggling to be
recognised as mediocre as opposed to perennial relegation strugglers.'

See... It may hurt but it's not that hard to do...

LOL

Yeah they never use it and forgot about being the 2nd team in Merseyside or
5th in the Premiership do they? ;-)

Not one RS I know will ever talk about their league position last season
without starting it with something along the lines of "Well we were in
Istanbul and it looked like we were beat... Did you see the game?"

How do you know you would have scored the penalty though? :-)

Corruption... that's all it was ;-)

> What about Everton?

Dunc scored an equaliser in the 2nd leg against Villarreal which would have
taken the tie to extra time (which would have suited us as we were taking
control of the game.) Collina didn't allow it due to a foul nobody else
(either in the stands, on the TV or on the pitch) saw.

He's recently said it was for a foul by Bent but seeing as he was busy being
dragged to the floor at the time it's a bit hard to see what he's on
about...

http://www.evertonfc.com/news/index.php?page_id=8077

Of course it had nothing to do with the fact UEFA wanted Liverpool in the CL
but the FA wouldn't back down, so UEFA were left with the possibility of 5
English teams in the competition (making their decision to let the RS in
look even more corrupt and could possibly be used in any legal action Slavia
Prague were threatening at the time over their decision to let the RS in)...
Send in the man who everyone seems to think is the best ref in the world and
make sure he doesn't let the Toffees win, no one will question his
judgement...

Except they did and he retired very soon after the game.

After the injustice of our previous disqualification from the top European
club competition (and resulting decline from grace) it's easy to see why we
think there's something a little more sinister behind the decision...

Then again many RS blame the Police, the Italians and/or Chelsea fans for
that, it can't have been their fans... Dickheads.

The Scots are hardly blameless in that exchange though.

I was in Edinburgh during the last European Championships and it wasn't a
pleasent experience being an Englishman then.

It's a chicken and egg scenario...
