Group Home - Livin' Proof (8)

Masta Ace - Sittin On Chrome (2)

=100 points.

DAH SHININ is definitely in my top ten alltime these days. So solid and
so well produced, I really can't give proper reasons for it though, it's
just the epitome of dope hiphop to me nowadays. SOUL FOOD is incredible.
The most Soulfull Hiphop album apart form possibly next year's ATLiens.

SWORDS, LINX and THE INFAMOUS are the nearest NYC has come to touching
ILLMATIC on a beats AND rhymes tip. In 11 years! I can't really split
them, three sides of the same coin, if you will. Swords is like the
chessplayer walking through snowy New York streets, Linx is just Ghost
(oh yeah and Rae too) in the summer with a vest on thinking up some
marvelous *** like Julio Iglesias and Infamous is those dudes that wear
coats and boots all year round regardless of the weather, and they don't
smile, cos' smiling is the cousin of death, I assume.

LIVIN' PROOF is the greatest album ever made by two people with no
talent. KRS' self titled joint is the last great album he made and if I
can get past the aversion to his voice that I've developed its an album
I really enjoy listening to. CENOBITES should probably be in 97 for me
with the longer version but still, its the last great Keith T. album and
the trio of Keith, Don and Bobbito is wholly entertaining.
LIFESTYLEZ has possibly the highest high-points of any of these albums
for me but the whole sound of it is dated by 95 standards due to it
being delayed and apart from 8 IZ ENUFF all the standouts were allready
singles.
SITTIN ON CHROME deserves better than 10th place but just can't get it
despite being much more solid than some of the albums above it. It just
doesn't sparkle like they do.
