Colo. pot question could affect Obama-Romney race
As a former Coloradan and someone interested in the legalization of marijuana I would suggest to anyone who is like minded and considering not voting for Obama this fall for the sole reason of his stance on legalization that you're smoking way too much good stuff and you should take a day off from the stuff and reconsider your position.
If you think for one minute that Mitt 'Gateway Drug' Romney and his Republican cohorts will ever even decriminalize, let alone legalize marijuana, then you should quit smoking pot forever because you obviously aren't sane while under its influence.
The only scenario I can see Republicans legalizing pot is if availability is restricted to commercially made joints offered by a large company such as R. J. Reynolds, and you know you'll be getting a pack of joints full of chemicals to keep 'em burning, chopped stems, insect pieces and generally stuff you wouldn't smoke even if it was all that was left in the bag.
If you think a third party candidate stands even the most finite chance of an ice cube in hell of getting elected President this fall then you need to be on something a lot stronger than ganja. Ask your doctor for a referral to a psychiatrist. Votes for third party Presidential candidates are worse than not voting at all, you might as well vote for the guy you hate the most.
The whole issue is subterfuge, brought up by Republicans to get people mad at Obama so they won't bother even going to the polls in November. Don't fall for it. If Romney gets elected you can kiss all those medical marijuana clinics goodbye for at least ten years and you'll see sentences for possession get much longer.
Don't fall for it.
