Subsonic is lightweight music/podcast streaming app. Very recently
the developer (Sindre Mehus) developed a sister app to stream to an
Android phone.

I've been streaming my home music library to web browser for about 2
years - it works flawlessly. I've had my entire GD/music libary
available everywhere - except the car.

I don't know how well the Android app works as I don't have an Android
phone (yet), but here are some comments:
